Meetings are held once a month at a board member’s home. They generally start at 7pm and run about two hours. Come join us! Contact any board member for the upcoming meeting date and location, or for questions in general. Please submit changes in address, phone, and email address to Secretary, Diane Halvorsen.

A big thank you to all who helped make the Annual Meeting in September successful. The board has had its first meeting and is hard at work preparing the upcoming year’s budget. Watch for an official newsletter in the upcoming months, but in the meantime, here are a few announcements and reminders:

OCTOBERFEST

First of all, coming up very quickly is our annual Ocoberfest! This year’s event is Sunday, October 18 at 3pm on Denzel Court. Rain date is the following Sunday – same time, same place. Hopefully, you have already marked your calendar from seeing the flyers posted around our community and emailed to you earlier, but just in case, this is your final reminder! Bring your favorite dish, your own chairs, and the kids. (Please leave the pups at home). This is always a great time and one of our most popular events. Don’t miss it!.

MAYOR’S NIGHT OUT

IMG_1558Just a reminder that Mayor Bruce Wahl’s “Night Out” meeting date for the communities of Chesapeake Station, Windward Key, Courtyards at Fishing Creek, and Captains Quarters is Monday, November 2. The meeting will take place at the Chesapeake Beach Town Hall, beginning at 7:30:pm. The press release reported: “……Citizens may attend any session that is convenient, and are not limited to the session for their neighborhoods. The presence of the Department Heads and the Sheriff’s Deputy will allow immediate responses to concerns…….” For further information contact Michelle Jenkins, Town Administrator at 410-257-2230 or 301-855-8398.

REPORTS AND DOCUMENTS

Some questions have been raised about posting additional information to the website. While the Board tries to keep the current newsletters and general emails posted, it is up to the individual committees and individual homeowners to submit event flyers and items of general interest to Chesapeake Station residents. While we do not post the Bylaws or Covenants on the website, they are available electronically in pdf. form by request. Contact President, Jim Mulder.

AND FINALLY…..

Watch your mail in mid-November for information on the 2010 budget and assessments.
